Thanks, good information ! It took about 2.5 to get to the mark on the dipstick, it was leaking while it's been sat, so I'm keeping it topped up with the new stuff to the dipstick.

I was told you need to change it twice at least.. maybe i'll give it a go, I'm just worried about wasting too much money .. the ATF is £ 40 for 4 litre, so doing it 3 times is quite an investment. Not if it does solve it of course, but if it still makes no difference, it's money down the drain (Not literally of course, I took the old oil to the tip) :D

Lo
I have to admit I got a garage to do mine.
I believe it should take 3.5 litres ISH on each change.
I think it holds about 7 litres I can't remember exactly.
Good luck with it though.
Cheers ;)

I did ask the local auto centre place but they said they wouldn't touch it and I would have to find a transmission specialist.. I only wanted them to change the fluid.

Anyway, It seems to have quite a bad leak so I probably should look at that before I fill it again. Are the any usual suspects for leaks of the ATF? Can't see obviously where it is coming from from above or below.

You should have pipework to/from the radiator (which has a built in ATF cooler). I'd start there, as that's the simplest fix for sure. Is it dripping off the undertray?

Great, thanks I will start there. It is indeed dripping from the undertray.

If its the ATF cooler hard lines going into the rad theres a good chance the root of the issue is the rad leaking on the hard lines, causing them to corrode and then leak ATF, i found the same issue on my type s (it uses the auto rad cooler to cool the ATTS), i changed the rad and bought some samco coolant piping to replace it and i haven't had a coolant or ATTS fluid leak since.

It was a surprisingly easy job too, hope that helps :)
