Sorry I've not updated in a while

Anyway, not got much done.
but I will update bits that I can and the rest tomorrow or something :)

downpipe has been welded up and heatwraped

Finally managed to get the Turbo clocked and I now have the oil feed and return where they belong, so got the Turbo cleaned out after the drilling to get the bolt out and gave it a test fit :)

Back together and test fitted, compressor housing was loose here, still to rotate that to a desired position once I see what angle these BMW interpipes will be at :)

Image.

Now, due to the Backdoor intercooler the radiator was in the way of where the boost pipe would need to go, so I done what I do best... Ghetto the jobby out of it :)

I relocated the Rad under the support at an angle and flipped the hose to get the right fit..
Hopefully it won't get much heat soak, so planning on running a Turbo blanket to minimize the heat.. looks very neat though :)

Image

Downpipe is as tight as I can get it, it's not touching but annoyingly close, so I'm I n source of a d16a6 water neck to allow for more clearance

Image

Also, to balance out the front a bit I've got a set of fogs for the front.

Fills in the gaps at the side of the intercooler:

After :)

And, since the bonnet is gubbed.
Picked up a cheap cf bonnet

And to complete the new branded set up, A turbosmart ultergate38 :)

Just waiting on a few bits and Bobs getting delivered to fit the oil lines etc and then the intercooler need brackets made up to secure it :)

Then it's time for start up :
I will update more when I can

I may be wrong but I think you should start heatwrapping from flexi joint going towards turbo flange.

Does the bonnet close OK with that turbo on? Looks like it sits really high in comparison to the slam panel? (Might just be the angle of the pics though :D )

Lude still looks luminous in the background ;)

You are probably right, first time I've heard of it tbh. I will read up on it and see what difference it will make :)
Thanks

Yeah the bonnet closes perfectly with about an inch to clear, it wasnt clearing before I shortened the adapter for the manifold/Turbo. only thing I'm worried about with placement it it hitting the bonnet under heavy boost, hopefully the mounts are as stiff as possible to minimize engine movement.

Yeah the poor prelude isn't getting much attention these days. :(

Once I move house and get a suitable place to work on her I will be a happy, so much to prepare to build a monster :)

Got the banjo bolts delivered for the oil feed with a 2mm restrictor :)

Image

And fitted nicely, the Turbo Is sitting too high for the line to go straight in as before.

Image

Next up is the water lines for the Turbo, found a double male an6 in my tool box and Decided to use this to get a 90° an6 bend onto it .. it was a bad idea :/

Image

Cheap bum droppings :/

So need to extract that, brilliant :(

And now need to think how to attach the water
