For sale Red Honda Prelude Type S 220hp - P reg 86351 miles.
The car has an MOT until late January 2019. It has just had a full service.
As the Type S is only available on import, I expect most people will realise this is an imported car. The car had 1 or 2 owners during its short time in Japan and was registered in England as a P plate after the initial use (1-2 years).
I have owned this car for 20 years, I have used it regularly on and off. It has spent the majority of its life protected by a garage overnight. It has also spent periods with no use due to various foreign trips and living abroad.
The car has been fantastically reliable, incredibly, very little has gone wrong over the years. The engine still pulls very strongly and is a lot of fun to drive, especially the VTEC part in 2nd gear!
The the only things to note, occasionally on a cold start the engine revs drop a little, a simple squeeze of revs over 1000 stops the car stalling. It has never caused me any problems and doesn't happen often. The paint was scratched on the lower bumper skirt about 20cm long, something that could be easily fixed.
All tyres in good condition including spare.
Work done over the last few years.
Underside needed welding on both sides - I spent over £600 having this all done.
Rear brake caliper replaced and pads.
As per photo, full large stainless steel exhaust fitted as Honda informed me original no longer available. Exhaust has an extended warranty and won't be a concern.
Edit: brand new battery
This car has the original Japanese satnav and climate control / TV fitted. CC works fine via the touchscreen.

As a point of interest. The chap who did the welding on the underneath has been wanting this car for years (I just found this out!). I believe he will make me an offer; the final buyer is also welcome to speak with the mechanic who knows the welder to check this car is worth having or to discuss the cars condition. It should serve someone well for years to come. I have to finally part with it as we need an MPV to carry equipment, I will miss this car, she is great fun to drive and effortless for motorway trips.
From what I can see on these forums. A car like this one should be worth £2000 - £3000. Sensible offers welcome. The car is based near Croydon in Surrey.
