VERY RARE CLASSIC COLLECTABLE 5th GENERATION HONDA PRELUDE MOTEGI 1999 2.2 VTEC RED TOP 200BHP WITH UNIQUE FOUR WHEEL STEER. 96000 MILES SINCE NEW. ONE OWNER MYSELF. ONE DRIVER THROUGH LIFE MYSELF. Excellent example of the very rare manual version. Immaculately well looked after through out its life with much appreciation and love for the car. Drives superbly, very smooth close ratio 5 speed gearbox. Performance is stunning even by today's standards.
Comfortable ride,reliable with immaculate interior. For a 19 year old car June 2018 this really is an incredible gem of an example of the much sought after by enthusiasts seeking a manual Honda Motegi. It really needs to be seen to be appreciated. Original Motegi specification as supplied by the factory with lowered suspension and the Motegi 17" Alloy wheels. Not added on bits as some "Motegi's" are! No rust apparent around the rear arches as some of this age have.
Cars features include (in no particular order ):
4 wheel steering. Worth it's weight in gold for a laugh when someone approaches you in the car park to advise your wheel is about to come off!!!. Or when you drive home into your road, just drive parallel to the pavement...turn the wheel and negotiate backwards into the drive in One smooth maneuver making it easier to come back out onto the road.

2015 New O/S/F track rod end £96
2017 New disk comp friction £109, new disk comp pressure £187, brake caliper assy £185, set of pads £44 steering boot £116
2018 Boot tie rods, link assy £112

There are a few issues that I highlight that you may wish to repair:
1. Rust spot (not seen) from exterior on interior boot where the catch is. Specks of light rust that may be removed easily with cutting polish bars or light paint spraying.
2. Scars on the front OS quarter, a chip on the bottom ridge of the front spoiler left NS. Paint blister rear nearside bumper.
3.Driver & Passenger windows have just stopped working. Main dealer thinks it needs new regulators £16.84 on ebay rather than pay dealership cost.
4. Oil drip from clutch. Had this for many years probably needs a new rubber seal but haven't got round to it.
Reason for sale and tugging at my heart strings is that at my age I am looking for a smaller car and I feel someone else would love to own a classic. I have had many people say they would love to buy my car. Lots of friends in the motor industry often compliment the car and it's appeal of it not ageing and thus will be an investment for the collector as the cars value will increase as a classic car in it's own right.
For those reasons I am listing it in various places so that everyone has a fair chance to purchase. However, you guys are seeing this first before I list elsewhere. I still am tempted to keep but mustn't let my heart talk my head around!! LudeGeneration ( Prelude club forum ) members have seen the car featured with very favourable comments. It would be fantastic if the car could be passed on to an enthusiast who will take pride in owning and cherishing the car such as I have over the years when I purchased it brand new from Derek Warwick the main Southampton Honda dealer. Years since it has been cared for by the Main Honda Portsmouth dealership where I have found the care and service to the car has been second to none. I think they find it a joy rather than the present model range to work on . This car still has many more years of life, is a real head turner and eye catcher. The personal number plate is not part of the sale I'm afraid but you can easily find one to suit you.
