- indeed.

Sounds like a common issue, should come like that in the first place.

No. It's not sticking on the butterfly. It's not sticking closed. It's sticking open at rest.
I have taken it off and there are not catch marks. It's super clean inside.

Rich at paw has/had issues and he confirmed it's the springs are crap and the catch with heat and don't operate smoothly.
Only happens when heatsoaked.
You can touch the throttle wheel at idle and it stop catching.

I have 2 choices.
Either adjust the idle rest to a higher position this raising idle and then lower iacv duty cycle to see if I can bring back the idle to normal
or
go with be smaller 70mm skunk2 alpha.
Rich said the alphas don't do this.

I realised you meant it was sticking open, it'd be the same affair... But obviously not that anyway then.

Are there not alternative 74mm TBs? I've never looked for any that large. Is there not a S2K one you can retro fit or something (I've not looked into whether that's an option or not).

There after other brands 74mm. Like blox or bdl but all stick according to keyboard warriors.

Contact Skunk and see what they say - it's not as if it's a cheap POS, so they shouldn't really go fobbing you off!

If it's not possible to put a second spring on that design, maybe a stronger spring to replace the existing would help?

I think if you can link them to that many instances of the same issue, they can't really fob it off. Well, I'm sure they'll try because that seems to be the norm these days, but it'd deffo be my first port of call.

I've got the impression that it's just the billet TBs that stick. If that's true, maybe consider a cast one if you get no other joy...

Stiffer spring didnt help. It's because the spring is seated between 2 surfaces and then get hot and don't operate smoothly.

Plus I have drilled the throttle wheel now so I doubt skunk 2 will help.

Thanks mate. I'll get that tb.
