5th gen suspension on a 4th gen

Possibly a silly question but we have a 4th & 5th gen track car. Looking to sell up on the 5th gen but would like to swapover the coilovers and the hubs as the 5th gen has better coilovers and big brake upgrade.

Is this possible in anyway? Or would we be best looking out to sell swap seperately to get 4th gen parts. Appreciate the hub pattern is different. Just not sure on the top mounts etc.

Yes its is possible - sure the top mounts are the same 3 stud on the front and 2 on the back - just check youve not got the 5 stud fronts as found on the 5th gen types s - if so then u can cut or knock two of the studs out,
upper arms are different so you will have to keep 4th gen ones
there is a slight difference with the length of driveshaft between 4h and 5th so you can swap all the 5th gen stuff over in 1 go - the intermediate on the 5th is a slightly better/lighter. :)

Thanks cor the reply. Is it something you would advise for or against.

What about the brakes would there be any issues there? Think they are porsche calipers with Jaguars discs. Could be wrong on this but sure thats what chap said we bought it off.

Its up to you - most would say swapping the hubs over as well is a good thing as it would give you more choice of wheels and the 5th gen has a slightly wider track at the front so im told but there cant be much in maybe a few mm either side :?
or you could just swap the coilovers straight over onto your 4th gen and depending what has been done to the big brake kit it might just be a straight swap over as well but youd have to check your 4 stud wheels clear the calipers :)

No idea on that brake setup - never heard of that before on a lude.

Would be very interested to see though...
