are the rear abs sensors handed

needing to get my project lude on the road due to engine issues with my soarer , so my question is i no the lude needs a nsr sensor but i think i only have an osr spare so are they handed ???????????

yes they are as they have the brackets that fix with two bolts to the top of the lcas :cry:

but do away with the bolts and you might be able to cable tie them in place :)

the only other problem could be if the sensor only reads in one direction - which i dont think it does..... :?

the metal brackets that hold them are, but the connectors and sensors are not. so if the length of wire is long enough you can swap them over

Exactly this, the brackets have small tabs holding the wire in place just swap it over.

many thanks for your help guess i will find out what is what over weekend , and update so watch this space may need a sensor ....

Yep as others have said, you can swap the sensors over between brackets. Just be aware though that bending a wire the opposite way to what it has been used to for 20+ years, might cause it to fail/not last long.
Saying which though... One of the sensors and the rear of my bb1 has survived about 6 years since doing it :)

finally some good luck the sensor i need is the one i have :lol: the one on the car has gone open circuit so hopefully the replacement sensor will fix the abs fault , cant check it till i reassemble the brakes as per my other post thanks for your input everyone :D
