Yeah, that's the cheapest quality one I've found. I'm good though, mine's designed and billeted rough cut. My work just needs to find the time to machine it now :)

Getting more than one made?

How difficult is the conversion and are there any significant or any main gains or advantages?

I also wonder what is the benefit compared to the spent money :-?
I know about more accurate ignition. But I am more interested in power numbers or some other arguments, if possible. I guess the gains are noticeable only with more extreme engine builds.

I'll attempt to get one made for Phil as well, but they've had my design for a few weeks now and they're still flat out with actual "work".

The main reason I went for the conversion was for reliability. I was fed up of the constant failing dizzy components. The more modern coil packs (Mine are from an EP3) are more reliable for one, but also, with Coil On Plug, each cylinder having its own coil pack means each coil gets a whole engine revolution to charge, meaning a stronger spark (Obviously a standard dizzy is having to fire ever quarter revolution). This is turn can mean more power as you'll burn the fuel more reliably/efficiently, but extra power is dependant on other mods as well (Fuelling, air intake/exhaust cams etc).

My conversion wasn't easy, but that's why I paid Performance Autoworks to do it ;) Mine's an AEM conversion. Hondata do a Retro conversion kit as well, which will be easier to install, but doesn't look anywhere near as good in my opinion ;)

I also imagine it'll be more of a benefit for fine-tuning the running of ITBs ;) ;)

That's a nice bit of kit 8-)

They could have used a better looking rocker cover for the shop picture though

Someone had obviously donated a cover for Rywire to work their plate out. It's only fair that valve cover reaps all the glory
