Door drop

Post by vanzep » Sat Apr 13, 2024 10:08 am

Ive noticed that the drivers door is dropping down a fair bit when opened and there is a large amount of play when fully open.
Is there any quick fix that can be done to correct or improve this?

There is a fix, I've done that for one door currently.
The specific Item I bought is not selled by the seller, but here's similar:

If everything else fails, read the manual!

Thanks for the info :)
I might just have a look for set of spare door hinges and see if they are any better than whats on the car.

I assume you've checked the bolts that hold the hinges on? They are unlikely to work themselves loose, but you never know.

I had this on my bb4, but that was due to previous owners father swiping the side of the car with a lawnmower and been repaired..
