Wanted: 4th gen

I've got the prelude itch again; mine is beyond repair (well it would be very expensive) so I'm on the look out for a new one.

Looking for a nice clean BB4 ideally, don't mind if there's a bit of rust to fix on the rear arches as that's almost inevitable.

Is there anything out there?

Not sure where you could get some replacements from, but I remember mine broke off my first lude and it functioned just fine without them.

I was searching for an affordable sporty coupe for my second car, something a bit different that you don't see everyday, and the lude ticked all the boxes. I'd not been driving long and didn't earn much so I could only really afford the insurance on a 2.0. Anyway, a BB3 came up for sale locally and ...

Nah really, your arches don't look tooooooo bad - the rust appears to be confined to the usual spots. 'Least it doesn't appear to have spread to the sills.

Yeah I imagine it would be easier. If the contact ring on the new wheel lines up then you're laughing, if not then you could try the oem contact ring on the new wheel - it might just plug straight in. Worst case you may need to do a bit of rewiring to align the horn and cruise control wiring on the ...

It came out of nowhere really, a little crack in the paint to start with. I scraped the top layer of paint off to expose the rust to treat it and it basically all flaked off and collapsed. Methinks a previous owner knew about this and hid it. I bet the arches are a flaky mess under the paint too. Oh...

Cheers for the honesty Nafe. I suppose a new shell is the only realistic option. The rust's already been repaired once by a previous owner (shoddily might I add - as evidenced by the body filler that was covering the arch and pillar rust), so I'm fighting a losing battle. The rust has been eating it...

what makes pillars unrepearable? Nothing I hope. I'm hoping a good body shop can sort it no problem. Anyway, here's some pics of the pillars: http://i767.photobucket.com/albums/xx320/richylennox/Lude/IMG_20170220_103053_zpskhnmjmjr.jpg~original http://i767.photobucket.com/albums/xx320/richylennox/L...

Aye it all comes down to whether the pillars are repairable I suppose. I'll try get some photos on tomorrow see what you guys think, be warned - it looks bad. I guess one option would be to chop the pillars off a scrap one and get them welded in (if that's possible). Scrapping this car would be an a...
