"MAGNUSSSS! Don't be so hard on yourself!" This is a bit out of the blue, but this song (& the others) have been in my music library for the last however many years, and they pop up from time to time. Obviously I've gotten used to them so think nothing of it when the tunes come on - an...

I always fill the tank with v power, add a bit of redex and take her out for a good spin before each MOT - works every time (for me anyway). Not saying that's gonna fix your issue but for about £3 and fuel you'll buy anyway it's worth a shot.

Re: Rich's new black "lightweight" BB4

MOT day today - came around sooner than I expected :scaredtoss: Didn't really get chance to sort out all the issues I wanted to but thought I'd chance it. Anyway, it failed (as expected really) - but wanted to see if there was anything major up with the car as I'm not the best at diagnosing problems...

New Rear Discs & Pads

Boring update Did rear discs and pads yesterday: http://richylennox.aremel.co.uk/images/photobucket/discon_20180827.jpg While I was at it I figured I'd see how easy it would be to paint the calipers - so I had a quick go with the carriers: http://richylennox.aremel.co.uk/images/photobucket/carrierr...

No cutting or welding was needed.. i even used the prefacelift handbrake and cables ;) You will need to bend the front bracket so it can bolt to the side of the tunnel. Then used a turn buckle to extent the cables. Cost me £5 Just about to do the same thing in my car. What sort of turnbuckle did yo...

Re: Rich's new black "lightweight" BB4

Piston rubbers look shot too. Think I'll get a refurb kit after MOT when I've hopefully got a bit more time to do things properly, and a proper piston rewind tool... This cube thing is taking ages!

Took the rear pads off just now... http://richylennox.aremel.co.uk/images/photobucket/oldpads_20180819.jpg Jesus! No wonder they were so noisy - there's no pad left! Here is one in comparison with a new pad... http://richylennox.aremel.co.uk/images/photobucket/oldnewcomparison_20180819.jpg
