If the manifold cover isn't rusty, just 'tarnished' (that's how it looks?) it would probably polish up nicely without needing to be re-finished? It's mild steel, but plated with nickel (or something) from factory. If it can be polished, that would look better than painting. Excellent advice, Iain. ...

Good morning, Iain. Here's the VIN plate of M334 SWP and hadn't noticed the 'ENG' stamp before. My Malaysian Prelude didn't have a red-top originally either, that was another tweak of mine.
