5th gen ice

My vote would go to the Sony XAV-AX100 or other members of that Sony series. They are well priced, and integrate well with Apple Carplay and Android Auto.

Having Google or Waze maps, Spotify and Whatsapp messaging with voice control really works well. You can even combine with reversing camera too.

5th Gen - Water leak in boot mystery!!

I have also found that water can get through the black plastic mounting blocks for the rear bumper. The ones that are fixed to the lower rear sides just behind where the sunroof drains exit. If you remove the boot interior plastic side panels, and maybe roll up a microfibre cloth into the small 'wel...

Stuck rear caliper clevis pin

SUCCESS Bought a large wrecking bar (which I needed anyway) with a nice curve to the flat end. Used it like Jackson Bondy's screwdriver suggestion, and with the extra length of the bar the little pin pushed up enough for me to grab it with pliers and twist it out. Plenty of grease on the replacement...

Stuck rear caliper clevis pin

Thanks for all your suggestions. They had occurred to me....some seemed to be a 'one chance only' option. Great to hear that they have worked for you. I'll give them a go and report back.

Stuck rear caliper clevis pin

I am replacing the rear calipers and have a real problem removing the clevis pin. There is rotation of the handbrake yoke, but I can't see a way of driving the pin out from below. It's well soaked in penetrating oil for a couple of days but the pin itself will not rotate. Mind you there is not much ...

I have found NFU very helpful. They are initially expensive for an entire year's cover, but are very flexible and make no charges for changes or cancellation. So, I found that the overall charge for a part year worked out a very reasonable price per day.

If you are happy to keep your Android phone connected to the head unit, then Android Auto works well to provide Google (or any other) Sat Nav plus internet radio, Spotify etc. I have used the Sony xav-ax100, which has touchscreen and is reasonably priced. Plus it can connect to a reversing camera too,

Let a workhorse take the brunt..... I agree with you completely about the potholed roads and keeping the Lude from unnecessary damage. I also like HRVs, but my choice was a good ol' CRV of 2003 vintage. It's spacious, tough and reliable.... plus I like the traditional auto box column shift. Nobody w...

Thanks to both wurlycorner and bennyboy for the recommendations. Just purchased mine through Ebay for £25 from the same seller. Arrived next day !

Highly recommended as a piece of kit at that price.

All the best, Mike.
