I think that's just how Autotrader looks up the BHP and puts it in the description based on the model name/type. As ratty says it would have been a B16 (B16A I think?). Later CRX del sol also came in VTi spec level and was B16 engine of some type (perhaps A1 or A2, cant remember).

I'd agree - never heard of a faulty ECU.

Faulty main relay or other wiring issue most likely the cause.

No need for aftermarket - the car comes with remote central locking as standard. As a side note, the remote central locking is COMPLETELY separate to the immobiliser and key system.
