Thanks Vtecmec any thoughts on why the car wouldn't start though? Wouldn't be because the TCS is not present in my car by chance?There is no alarm or immobiliser on the car either but it just feels like it has been immobilised or fuel cut off when swapped and then no issues once swapped back to orig...

Sorry to be jumping a thread again but it's P13 related so might help others too,so i had the Cel 13 and needed it gone for a test here for sale,spent some tricky to find but sourced one on Friday,plugged it in Cel went off,chuffed started the car all good, went shopping Saturday in it all good went...

Just Honda,top was 20 and bottom 69 Aussie dollars other tuner shops were similar so just went direct.Mine was running perfect but as soon as Vtec went to engage and it couldn't it drove terrible after so unless your in a similar situation you mightn't be as lucky.

Why are you selling it?
And how much more red line does it give and how safe is to raise the red line on a stock motor?
Mine has the Cel 13 so i'm just shopping for one to get it right for next owner or i may just keep it after all :D

Bogging down

Took off the Vtec solenoid last night gave it a thorough clean,for sure there was some fouling in the chamber and mesh catch,reassembled and left over night,just drove it there Vtec is good and back,chuffed :D Noticed the garage only changed the upper gasket and bottom is flat as so ordered a bottom...

O2 sensor? Faulty o2 sensors mean the engine runs rough in closed loop mode as it relies on o2 feedback to adjust fuelling. ie everyday driving, low gears, economy etc etc and bogs down is it's reading rich. Open loop is running off a map such as freaking insane driving vtec etc etc and doesn't rea...

Thanks gents gladly it wasn't the head gasket that was gone in the end but just needed a price list done out if it had of been worse case.

Thanks Vanzep really helpful there,the housing was clear and the bleed nipple was fine i used it after the change,i did get some crud in the water flush nothing huge but enough to think job done,cheers for the part number 8)
