It was very rare, and was only ever when turning lightly.

I know we now have the 4ws manual now which might help?
That's exactly when mine makes the noise aswell.
I didn't know that we now had the 4ws manual, I'll check it out and keep you posted!

Bedford Aerodrome - 13/05/2019

Awesome pics @Scott560 ! It looks like you had a blast, that "centered" rear shot of the Lude is my favourite. It does look like the car is rolling sideways quite a bit in some pics, what suspension set up are you running? Perhaps it's just me not used to seeing the car corner from the outside!

4WS weird noise

i think ive heard this on mine recently too. my suspicion was a wheel bearing on the rear driverside, but now im thinking it was too 'perfect' a noise. It sounds like a stepper motor fighting to keep it all alligned. I havent monitored the current draw when it happens, as its very seldom, although ...

Another cautionary tale

That's terrible Sailor, is the car wash going to take responsibility for the damages? Well, they do have a stack of pre-printed complaint forms! yeah thats sad to see - ive always avoided car washes since i lost a wind deflector off the lude going thru one. i think most if not all the drive thru ca...

H series LSD

The later prelude (99/00) has the same ratios as the accord type R box, but no LSD. The difference between the 97-99 and the later 99/00 gearbox is quite noticeable. It was the first thing i noticed between the old lude and the new one, not so much the extra bhp (h22a5 vs h22a8), but 3rd gear is mu...

H series LSD

As far as I know the most common LSDs fitted to Prelude gearboxes are the Accord typeR LSD or Mfactory's aftermarket model. I'm not sure if a B series LSD would fit.

Meister R's onto a 4g

I didn't bother knocking mine out, I left them in and fitted them through the existing holes you have in the top of the strut tower in the picture you have uploaded.

New to the lude and the club

Welcome to Lude Generation. It's nice to see a 3Gen is being restored, you don't see as many as 4th and 5ths.
