had a new (used) engine put in my 99 Prelude and the mech sez it starts & runs good til it warms up then if you allow the rpm to drop below 1500 it will die and not restart.
he can't figure it out so the car will come home on a roll-back and I get to try.
what should i look at ?

gen 5 rear view mirror
I need to re-install the rear view mirror in my '99 lude. I've done it before so I should know how but I don't. The square plastic trim plate (which also houses the interior light) needs to come down but seems to be quite content just where it is. I own a garage full of power tools so removing it is...

Ball joints 4g
I'm not sure this is in the right place but I'll ask anyway. The '99 which I just bought has a blue led mounted on the left (US car) windshield pillar. It blinks for a while and shuts off for a while then repeats. What is it? Also, all the automatics I have owned need the engine running to check the...

Does the gen 5 have clear coat from the factory? Mine is white (cream) with a subtle dash of pearl. I have no idea what they call it but the paint code is NH624P1. I am about to replace the RF fender with a junkyard item and it will require a repaint. I have painted cars before with good results but...

gummy steering
My 5g, hi-mile (237k), 2ws Prelude has recently learned a new trick. The steering feels as though it's full of molasses. Not noisy, not crunchy, not grindy, no free play but requires more effort than usual. It also won't return to straight ahead without help. New pump (refilled with Honda fluid) did...

Blockhd is right! Lucky for me, mine twisted off just as I was pulling into the garage. I had to make a puller to get the tapered stub out of the a-arm. I found the change to be quite difficult but then I'm rather clumsy and have no patience.
