Where to get a catalytic converter? (5g 2.2VTI)
I had a feeling that might be the case, yeah I do still have the heat shield. I'm starting to consider the option of replacing the entire downpipe as well as the cat, however there is a complication here too... A while back I fitted a full powerflow catback system which I got cheap second hand, but ...

Where to get a catalytic converter? (5g 2.2VTI)
Thanks for the help everyone! So before ordering anything I really want to know for sure what the issue is, so today during my lunch break at work I found 20 mins to quickly jack the car up to have a nose around. Unfortunately I didn't have access to any jack stands so the most I could do was reach ...

Where to get a catalytic converter? (5g 2.2VTI)
Hi guys, So after 5 years of solid daily driving, the exhaust on my 5th gen BB8 has inevitably developed a low rpm rattle which I am almost certain is the catalytic converter breaking down. I seem to remember reading that these are now discontinued. I've seen a few suspiciously cheap one floating ar...

Leaking rear caliper
Thanks guys, I've been putting bricks under the wheels and leaving it in gear for the time being, but strangely the handbrake seems to be holding fine since the aforementioned event... I'll definitely get back under there and reset the caliper piston positions. I'm sure this has been asked a million...

Leaking rear caliper
Thankfully it didn't hit anything! Just gradually rolled peacefully out in to the middle of the road and sat there until the neighbour turned up! Sorry yes I should have said I managed to get the new caliper fitted yesterday evening and had assumed all was well. What's strange is that after a quick ...

Leaking rear caliper
Bit of a disgruntled update! So the brakes worked nicely to and from work, got home today with no drama. I should mention the driveway is fairly steep. You can probably see where this is going... Half an hour later I get a knock on the door from the neighbour to tell my car is in the bloody road! Th...

Leaking rear caliper
Thanks guys! Just an update, I've found that it is indeed the caliper leaking. It seams the rubber seal at the handbrake mechanism is no longer doing it's job, which is strange though as it looks fine. I tried bodging it by making a few rubber washers to pack it out which helped a tiny bit, but it's...

Leaking rear caliper
Hi guys, So this evening I was driving home from work and noticed the pedal felt a bit softer than I remembered. By the time I pulled into the driveway my foot was almost to the floor on the brake pedal. I checked the fluid level in the master cylinder and it seems to have dropped dramatically. I be...

H22 Struggling to start
Hi guys, So I've had a bit of a mare with my 5th gen BB8 recently. This car has been my daily driver for over 4 years and never missed a beat until now I used the car for an hours round trip on Thursday and all was well, no issues at all. However when I got in the car on Saturday, the battery was co...
