The OEM Prelude - BB8 5th Gen Motegi - p15 new photos

I'm so glad I came across this thread! Firstly, what a fantastic job you have done to keep this beauty on the road. Huge respect. I picked up my first Lude a few weeks back having dreamed of getting one as a 20 year old in the 90's. 88k, good history, everything works, mot until May 20. My Motegi is...

Cheers all.
I'm looking forward to doing all the little jobs and in the process of writing a list.

I saw a YouTube video where they used Mother's Aluminium polish and a buffer which seemed to work really well on headlights.

Then you just need to seal them after.

Has anyone tried this?

Boot rust issues

Brilliant, thanks for the reply. That's pretty much what I was thinking of doing.
Where do you get the light gaskets? Are they direct from Honda?

Boot rust issues

Hi all Only had my Lude a few weeks and it's in general very good condition. I'm just making a list of jobs I want to sort and first thing is a bit of water in the boot well. I'm not sure where it's coming in yet, but I believe the sunroof drains are a place to look. Are there any images of this so ...

Hello all

Welcome mate, i only joined a few weeks ago also, and recently bought my first 5th gen. Same colour as yours i think. Everyone here has been super helpful and there is clearly a lot of knowledge between the members.
All the best with it.

Forte injector cleaner

Nice one thanks. As i've just got the car i might go for it. You know how it is with a new car, you just want to make sure everything is sorted and have some kind of peace of mind that you have covered all the bases to keep it going for as long as possible. I drove it home in terrible weather on the...

Forte injector cleaner

Hi all

Has anyone used Forte injector cleaner which is added to the fuel tank? Seems to have good reviews.

Also, if the exhaust needs replacing, can you still get original ones or are there better after market options? I might consider a full stainless for longevity.

Cheers

Hi there I picked up my first Lude this week also. See my post below yours on the main board. I'm probably slightly different in that I want mine to stay as standard as possible, but have a few similar small things to do such as sort any small rust spots etc. Which model did you get? All the best wi...

Yup, that was me buying it.
Many thanks for the advice, much appreciated.
I've got a lot to learn quickly about these cars, and enjoying reading up on everything. I'm kind of glad I bought it in winter as it give me time to get all the little jobs done before the weather improves.
