That's about the right price for a ropey 3rd gen in Japan. I was looking around 5 years ago for a red 3rd gen and prices started at 200000 yen or £10k before import stuff.

With the Lude, jack up the front drivers side as far as you can and then bleed the coolant squeezing the top and bottom hoses. Then take it for a drive and repeat the process again. Always get an airlock when I think I've sussed it.

I linked you to the ones on ebay japan on facewank but if you need them ASAP you'll have to go to a scrapper and find a 2nd hand set.

Yep you need a specific JDM alternator.
Best bet it to get it rebuilt.
