If you can see a pinhole on the front of the unit, straighten out a paperclip and push it into the hole.
This works for computer CD units to manually eject the CD.

You should try Rockauto as recommended by Vtecmec.
I used eBay balljoints and they were a bad fit (as you can see).
If you know someone with a welder, get them tacked in. Make sure they're lined up correctly first though.
