So, the GF got a cheque through the door few weeks back from HMRC for £523. On the paperwork it said everything would be explained in the other information pack. This came the next day.
Thing is though, it had 2 separate sheets for 2 different tax years. 1 had the details explaining about the £523 refund, and the other had details about a refund from the previous year, which was another £196.
So, does this mean she should have received another cheque for £196, or is it included in the £523?? To me it looks like she should have got 2 cheques, but not 100% sure. Ive told her to call them, but i think she's scared incase she looks a bit of a clown.
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

Whenever I do my tax return they're pretty prompt... but then I submit mine the first day possible.
As for getting a rebate from a few years ago, last Christmas I got a fairly large sum. 1st letter explaining what was what and the amount, a 2nd letter with the cheque.
I would assume if you're due two separate amounts then you should be getting four letters.
