As long as the product is not branded and the design is slightly different there is nothing to stop people producing these products legally. Depending on how much care and attention the designer and manufacturers have taken there is no reason why the products are of any less quality, however with a known brand you get a known quality, and price!

That's just it, they are fake branded, that's the reason they make them cos people want the brand. I don't get it personally. If they are manufactured well and are good products why not sell them with there own branding?

Ah yea, I didn't acknowledge the brand names infront of the products! Yea, as nucleustylzlude said then thats a big no no! Don't be suprised if somebody official asks you for your contact!

It might be best to stick with unbranded products as long as you can be sure there is a difference in the design as well.

Actually now in talks to see how much extra it is to put the ludegeneration logo on parts instead of company branding.

If anything does happen just be sure you can prove you went out of your way to make sure you did not infringe anybody's IP rights..

Hi rob. Great idea. Not sure we want the lg brand manufactured onto structural car parts. Gear knobs and dust caps are fine, but anything considered as a safety feature or structural like a wheel nut is a no I'm afraid. I dont think my liability insurance will stretch to a part failing on someone's car and the some idiot trying to sue us/me.

Agree. I'd be happy in principle with anything not safety-related or directly affecting reliability. The Chinese will get there sooner rather than later: the Japanese and Koreans managed it, after all.
