Now this may seem like an odd thing to post on here, but you never know until you ask ! I have been involved with a charity raising money for Terminally Ill people ! The event is called SNOWDON CHALLENGE based in my back yard ( Snowdonia ) www.snowdonchallenge.co.uk
QUICK OVERVIEW: in return for raising money, we will offer a banner with your logo on the side of the track up Snowdon Mountain ( imagine the London marathon, but up the highest Mountain in Wales )
The size of the banner will depend on how much you raise .. Example if you raise£300 then you will get a 4fx1.5f, if you raise £500 then you will get a 8fx3f banner. There are also other things that can be sponsored like the marshals bibs, night markets, Guides on the mountain ... There's a huge list of stuff you can help support !
With the amount of members we have on this site, we could easily throw in a couple of pounds and can easily reach the min of £200 ! if we make more then we can help to sponsor bigger things like the Mountain Rescue Doctors, start and finish banners and public food areas.

May we take this opportunity to introduce to you, the Snowdon Challenge!
The Snowdon Challenge is a prestigious, charitable-fundraising event set on the highest mountain in England and Wales, Mount Snowdon! (Yr Wyddfa to use its Welsh name) the event will take place on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th October 2015.
On behalf of Cancer foundations and charities, the focus of this inclusive event surrounds the challenge of a number of different user groups working together to achieve personal and shared goals on Mount Snowdon. These groups include: Cancer survivors, individuals with a terminal illness, individuals with a disability and ex-servicemen who have suffered the loss of multiple limbs.
The ex-servicemen are double amputees who would be willing to be a part of a special expedition, as part of the event to climb Mount Snowdon without the aid of any prosthetic limbs, just the use of their upper torso. The only aid would be with a specially designed neoprene suit that the chosen participators will be provided with, along with all other equipment on the mountain, including a tent all kit to enable an overnight stay on the mountain as well.
The purpose of the Snowdon challenge is for participators to raise crucial funds for their chosen hospices and the care that they provide. As well as providing an adventurous weekend opportunities for all participants, the Snowdon Challenge will raise awareness publicly displaying the early signs of various cancers, educating the general public on what to look out for making available the information for people to ask questions and for people to be able to receive the support they need. Everyone’s shared ambition is to reach the highest point they can on Snowdon! This shared goal will be reflected by sponsors and exhibitors based in the village of Llanberis who will also be joining in the excitement and celebration of the event.

How does this work?
If based in the UK, your business can claim tax relief on donations and sponsorship, whether the gift is large or small, one off or regular! On completion of your sponsorship package with one of our dedicated members of staff, your company simply transacts the sponsorship amount into our charity, once received a receipt with a reference shall be issued.
