Key Fob has died.

Post by Free Ranj Egg » Mon May 23, 2016 9:07 am

Luders,

My key fob has finally died on me. It is absolutely battered and the light still comes on but the doors aren't opening via the central locking.

To make matters worse I cant find my spare fob or key so im using the master one at the moment.

Are they an expensive replacement?

Just got one for my mum's CRV (identical unit, but with an extra button for the glass hatch). We paid £80 for a replacement fob and a spare key (with immobiliser chip) from a local dude. Worth having a look around.

So I can just go to any old auto electrician or car alarm place and they should be able to sort it?

£80 isn't bad at all mate

Definitely worth a shot, when we searched for 'replacement keyfob' it turned out the guy was just on the other side of town!
