Are Rear seat bum foams required for MOT?

Banter goes here, and doesn't have to be Lude related

Are Rear seat bum foams required for MOT?

Post by RattyMcClelland » Sun Jun 12, 2016 4:05 pm

I'm aware the back rests are required for rear seats during an mot test but what about the bum part is the cushion?

I want to remove it and give it to a trimmer for reference on color matching materials for my front seats and my mot will be due during that time.

A legit mot.

No however my car won't be with me when the mot runs out next month. It will be with performance autoworks so they will sort it out with the garage over the road from them.

I'm sure Rich will be able to handle that if you explain the reasons.

Our old Mini has no rear seat belts. We remove the rear seats every year for the MoT and it's never been a problem.
