Banter goes here, and doesn't have to be Lude related

No, it was a 940 saloon. He'd sold much of the gubbins months before, but held on to the shell and axles until his mate was ready to collect.

The space was allocated for one of the Preludes, but I've got the sniff of an A7 engine, so the ATR might be the next car to deal with.

The "sniff of an A7 engine" turned into a purchase and I've now got a lump of metal under covers.

Now to work out who can help me fit it.

Oh, that is a shame - especially on such lovely looking paintwork.

This afternoon, I tried to improve my chances of staying in the UK post-Brexit.
To prove that I'm more British than German, I did a really traditional English thing. I went to a garden centre on Easter Monday. And I queued without complaining.
Have I passed the citizenship test?

This evening, I tried to find a video or two of a Peugeot Partner smashing the Nordschleife van record on Saturday. It went round in under 9 minutes. (It's in a couple of clips, but nothing special to look at.)

I felt the need for a vehicle that could do multiple tip runs over the next few months. The spec was simple:

Estate car preferred
Max price £1000
If I don't muck it up, could be sold on for a profit when finished with.

I bought this today:

We've just got back from a 4-day shakedown trip on the boat.
The trip over to France was bumpy and wet, but quick. The return was a cracking sail in much better sea and some sunshine.

Most of the gremlins we found were electrical. This can happen after a winter lay-off, but I did not expect the remote engine stop to malfunction.
Possibly more problematic was that the yard had not reconnected the earth line that joins the mast to the keel. I wonder what would have happened if we'd had a lightning strike?

Lo All
Finally bit the bullet and bought a pair of new door trims.
I had covered mine with vinyl wrap as they looked awful.
Problem I had with them was My rain deflectors would rip the wrap up.
The new one's look great but we're a bit of a pain to remove the old one's.
I will take some piccies tomorrow.
Cheers.
Toadster.
