I thought the AAA engine put out more power, just a bit less than the AAB? and I thought both were 12v?

I own a 4G Prelude and a Mk2 Golf btw... And tbh, I love them both to bits and wouldn't be without either :D my Golf is only a 1.6 8v though, however with a GTI cam shaft in it shifts fairly well - it only weighs 900 kilos or so  As for handling, I can't say the Golf is bad at all. Short wheel base and small fat wheels, it drives like a go kart :) I have no anti roll bars though so mine has awful body roll, need to nab some from a GTI and then it should stick to the road like jobby on a blanket

I looked at buying a VR6 a while back. It went quite well, but wasn't much fun. A useful tool, little more than that.

I don't like the Mk 3 Golfs myself, tbh I don't like any of the Golfs since the Mk 2. An AAB lump dropped into a Mk 2 is the way forward :)
