I'd put money on it being the alternator due to both the battery and CAT warning lights being on. Did you get missfire before the car conked out? Or rev / speedo cutting out?

Unfortunately my battery warning light came on when 3rdGenSteve drove the car last week. Weirdly the CAT temp warning light came on as well even though it is earthed off

Either that or crank pulley failure? I havent had the crank pulley go on my 4th so I dont know if the CAT warnign light comes on with that You'd hear a slapping if that failed though.

Yeah I lost the speedo and rev stereo cut out and areial was going up and down has anyone got alternator for sale
