 so when they were$0.02 and you were watching it you didnt buy somne just on the off chance? If i had read ANYTHING about it i would have thrown a grand at it in 2009 for the punt. Now its three and a half times that for a modest return within 100 days. jobby happens eh? lol.

Just £10 spent back in 2009 would buy you a mansion with the money to run it right now. Crazy. Obviously this bubble will pop but if the work going on in the background is done right it will stabilise and find liquidity. There is about 12billion in liquidity at the moment. It just needs a bit more to be as strong as everyone wants it to be.

Easy to say "I'd trow a grand in it in 2009" but I think it takes a fair amount of courage. But this event, as I like to call it, definitely opened my eyes further. When I hear of an opportunity to get in an investment like this for a few cents I'd probably trow a tenner in there or maybe even 50 if I feel wild.

I bought that much in silver bullion in 2009 as I thought it was worth it, just in case the mayans were right and I needed barter chips for the end of the world survival. This would have been the same kind of risk I think..........

drokk. Made a post but it disappeared.

Anyway yes, in short I made a massive mistake  I wasn't ready to spend money to get money that at the time couldn't really be used effectively IMO.

^^^fair... just a tenner though. Just wish I was more tech savvy as it would have been a given for me if i had heard about it sooner.

I just checked the price of silver. Hmmm, made a bad call if i wanted to make a mint (pun intended) but i still got endoftheworld barter capability

The only way to make money now is to find this:-
http://www.forbes.com/sites/kellyphilli ... 9-million/

Win-win doesn't exist, and "betting on betting" is effectively what caused recent financial crashes. The more extensive the scheme, the less secure it becomes. Ultimately, for a currency to have any lasting value, it must be exchangeable for real goods or services. Retailers are slow to go for it, and may never do so in any meaningful quantity. Then, exchange rates are set outside of any international mechanism, so there's no safety there, either.

Oh, and your profits are taxable ...
