I feel sorry but I have to post it

I knew the valeting guy for four years on the forum.

Even spoke with him on the phone about organising delivery etc. he was retiring from valeting and selling a stack of kit for £120. Managed to speak to his missus once and she promised it would be sent, but was it bollocks.

Goods never arrived. Subsequently he ignored texts/emails, never answered his phone. Why the rhubarb would go to that effort is beyond me.

Gavin Davies from Bridgend, Crown Valeting.

Absolutely no come back what so ever on paypal as it was a gift. Not that I paid by card, but you don't even have credit/debit card protection if you use third party payment company such as paypal.

Never pay as a gift, no matter how well you think you may know the seller, pay as goods, but pay the fees so the seller doesn't lose out.

Mmmm, so as long as you factor in the paypal fees for 'paying for goods' one may as well go for this protected transaction, rather than take the chance, don't skimp, and always assume that if something can go wrong, it will. 'Buyer beware' And whatever happened to 'Gentlemans Agreements'
