11... who can forget the name Lol Creme? ;)
13. The Beatles probably?
14. Soft Cell

This might help with 11 for the rest of you lot:

I can't remember any of the other names :( but I assume 10cc isn't the answer.

And the overnight scores on the doors are as follows gentlemen...

5: Goes to nick_s
10: Goes to NCCMUR
17: Also goes to NCCMUR
1: Goes to Indegolemon
15: Also to Indegolemon
11: Donald, close but no cigar dear boy
13: Donald, sorry old chap
14: Donald gets it!
Then of course there's Mr Quiztastic himself, Mr merc. Well done sir but the only one not technically correct is Number 13. Although it was a "Beatles" single it was recorded in an evening of creativity without either George or Ringo being involved, only John and Paul appear on the track playing everything.
Thank you everyone. You boys done good.
ps Donald, 10CC, a real fave of mine from the 70's, it's interesting that Godley and Creme have put it on record that they regret splitting away from Eric Stewart and Graham Goldman. Dimwits should have stayed where they were and let the brilliance of 10CC continue.
Once again, thanks to you all. I'll have a think of something more fiendish and post it over the coming days. Have a great day, Simon.
