I saw at least one 'both cars written off' crash where they hadn't shared the corner so both went into the arnco  :x :?

and others where people got caught up in someone elses drama.

It's a hell for cars and wallets but a haven for nutter everywhere. You really need to be at about 8 out of 10 on the speed scale a tourist day as jobby happens all the time and yellow flags need to to looked out for. Having a passenger keeing a close eye on your rearview is almost a must because its easy to forget, as you overtake a corsa GT, that the M3 behind you knows the track and is carrying 60mph ore than you into this next corner :o :o :o Road sense and manners are a must.
6th gen Prelude please Mr Honda. RWD 2.4 turbo lude.

During 3 days of european meet there was some smashed steel on track everyday. I think we can easily say it is hapenning every day during the year. The point is there is a lot of people who wanna track their cars on most dangerous track in Europe but some of them shouldn't even drive on street. There is no limit on number of cars on track at time, so if you lucky you won't see any other cars (we had one lap like this) or totaly oposite and there will be way too many cars with drivers in wide scale of skills (this what LLL said).

Fees in case of colision keep you driving more sensible, but theres still no waranty that you will leave track in one piece.

Anyway. Best meet in my life. Best drives in my life. Will be back there. And never before seen smoke from front brakes.
For so small money you won't get anything better

Aside from actual driving skill you really should make sure your car is up to scratch too, not just for a couple of laps around the Ring, but that PLUS the journey to/from.

I'm not speaking from experience like most of the people commenting, but there is a right and wrong approach to a European trip with 'track' action.

Just don't take the wrong approach

Yeah watch your tyres, I saw a garage charge €170 for a 205/40/17 and that's 5 years ago. All garages also close Sundays which can be a pain in the ass.

Some times the ring can be hired out last min to race teams so you could lose a complete day of track time but it's such a nice place to do other things and go exploring.
