it appears thats the route im gonna have to go down. Take it im gonna need a key with the new barrel then have it re coded / a new one cut with my keys code

Have you tried giving the starter motor a tap

Its not even attempting to turn the starter motor. & the battery is fine just tried jumping it off a friends car. All I get is the fuel pump activating and nothing else

Lol I did the same mate stripped most parts off my other car but should of got everything really, I'm sure you can can a barrel and keys off eBay? Or some one breaking on here for cheap

Well you could still use your original key for the doors and boot didn't realise you need the ecu as well

How about getting the ignition pack of the back of the barrel chap. If ur wiggling the key and it works, it will be that mate. Not the barrel itself, but the switch pack behind/at end of it.

Yep mine did this last week

tried rocking it back and forth in gear, still nothing. So give the starter motor a few taps with a rubber mallet and it fired up straight away.
