seriously guys. have you not thought about the wider picture here?

We have just had a pump raping budget.

It is the last day or so of national big business trading for this financial year.

The Prime Minister has urged us to 'take what precautions we may' in otherwords 'fill up pricks!'

can you not see that we are being manipulated easier than a 15 year old on GHB at a house party?
so what reasons could this happen?

the government want extra tax duty from the fuel refiners. by boosting sales in the last few days, before the tax hike has settled in, the profit on the quarter goes up so they will pay a lot more tax.

the last quarter of last year our economy shrank SHRANK OVER CHRISTMAS :o
the government want us to be shocked at the audacity of the drivers and fill up as soon as possible. spending our way out of recession.

This spending spree will show very favorably in the next quarters figures wont it? helpful...

The fuel refiners have a back log of petrolium to get shot of because we are all a bit shy of spending at the pumps (this jobby goes off dude!) so the government are giving them a helping hand.

and finally, the poor drivers are pissed off and fancy bringing the country to a halt in the middle of a double dip recession/buttfunk, thus earning the whole nations anger. anger that is rightly directed toward the wankers in power. (im neither con/lab/dem)

now call me a raging consipracy nut but does none of the timing of this 'strike' you as strange?
6th gen Prelude please Mr Honda. RWD 2.4 turbo lude.

Maybe a strike is the best thing in the end. If people who can (like me) take the train/bus to work (if petrol gets to 1.50ish then I will be, as I will be saving money then) and deprive the :tosser: of the revenue then maybe they will get the message and cut the duty we pay for fuel? :x

The strike isn't about the price of fuel mate, its about the working conditions for tanker drivers.

Don't expect the price of fuel to change, stoopid f*cking government

Yes I know its about work conditions etc, but unless we ween them off the revenue they get from fuel, then this situation is this never going to change. :x

I was just about to quote LLL and say +1 but as you've got there before me I guess I'll just have to be +2

Fire service are up in arms over the government advice to fill a jerry can to save guard yourself in the event of strike action. Can't say I blame them either.... stupid stupid advice. Trouble is.... I'll be doing exactly that this weekend but it's for racing use so it won't be stored for long....plus it's a whole lot cooler

Let me know what nut house they put you in and I will come and visit you!

As for the alleged petrol strike. I put £70 in the Soarer and the muffin is still just on 3/4 full!
Ludes turn tomorrow. Panic? of course I am panicing, I can't walk so I need my wheels. Lots of folk queuing up at Tesco in Bradley Stoke tonight, and a couple of arguements over queue jumping as well(not involved, shame they did not turn to punchups I would have liked a bit of light entertainment while I was waiting!) :)

But when it gets bad,
I take something for it.
