Something in the back of my mnd is saying "Wartburg". Couldn't be an early one of these, or related?

Funnily enough I was going to say it looks a bit like a Wartburg at least the scrip on the boot does from this angle or something from Eastern Europe

That's what I thought at first. It isn't though.
