If you could get it road-legal for a smaller amount of effort, you could at least use it a bit until the Spring. Things always look better then! Also, it won't deteriorate as quickly if it's driven from time to time.
What's actually wrong with it? You did call it a 'minor accident' after all - and if that's how you see it, you'll regret it even more if you let it go.

The end of an era
The main problem is the amount of paintwork required. The carbon bonnet and boot have faded badly and require painting one front wing was damaged in the accident and the other was rusty and has since got worse. The front splitter was never painted so has also faded and the front bumper was also damaged and will need painting.
It's just to much work when I have two other projects on the go.
