yeh your stamp on the brake a couple of times going for the clutch, i like my auto (i have some different plans for mine) and to answer the obv question - yes you can vtec in reverse (its now a fact  ) you also get better mpg with the auto, coupled with the fact i no longer have to use choks when working on the car (park :D )

i found the autos use more fuel, so be aware of that. also the 4g box is selectable 1,2,3 and 4. the only other problem is in 30mph speed limit areas, i found that you have to do about 35-38mph to get it into 4th gear and slow down to 30 and hold the accelerator lightly to maintain the 30 in 4th. any acceleration it would drop down to 3rd.

also as 1st gear is selectable it means for great controlled acceleration in the snow, perfect traction as all you need to do is let off the brake and the car pulls away steady and controlled.
also as it is selectable then you can change gear by shifting the knob and hold it in gear for longer and at a higher rev than in auto mode.

I'd happily take shorter gears over top speed, 120 is enough for those late for work mornings imo

I was just looking at the JDM, looks like no 4ws though :(

And how is the UK 197bhp, I thought they were 185? Also, Jap has more toys?
