how much do people pay for oil filters?

Banter goes here, and doesn't have to be Lude related

blue print are oem/oes which is good enough to be covered under a honda warrenty if it was a new car

i got hamp after reading about the slight increase in oil pressure which is better for oil circulation if that is true. so i think im paying short of a tenner delivered

I switched to K&N last change after my cheap ones started falling to bits around oil change time. I'll see how this one goes but its only £9 or there abouts anyway. I just like having the 1" nut on the back to get them off with that ironically the spanner cost more than the filter for.

£35 but that's for the oil change to be done.

An oil change costs me ~£27, for an OEM Honda filter and Castrol 10w/40 semi synthetic 8-)

are the jdm ones different or different for different lude models, i once brought one from halfords suposidly for prelude but was alot longer than the one i removed, it did fit - just, but was a real squeeze. i didnt keep it for long, switched it for a blue print. to be fair i rarely change both filter and oil at the same time, i usually do 2-3 oil changes to 1 filter change. some say OMG what if its blocked, i say how can it be if you change your oil regually, maybe engine particles, but then the motors fooked anyhow. i just use fairly cheap morrisons fully sinthetic around £18 for 5l. i think its on offer in tesco at the mo.

I do this, its easier to buy the oil with hamp filter from these guys nowadays. Just switched from Mobil X-Cess 5W-40 to Fuchs Titan GT1 XTL 5W-40 as its possibly slightly better oil and is marginally cheaper.

Buying a box of 6 HAMP filters works out about £6 each.
