They're always very obvious if you read the words as they're spelt.ziyaan wrote:Pushki as alWays the grammar monitor
Do you have some alert that pops up when anyone misspells

'Finned' sounds completely different to 'fined' and has a very different meaning.
I know I will lose the fight eventually, but someone has to try.
Notice everybody how I spelt 'lose' and not 'loose'.

I have never used a spell check. I was told by my english teacher spell it as it sounds. That works most of the time but if you read enough and learn even difficult words become second nature. I spell things incorrectly sometimes but I put that down to haste or the influence of drink or prescribed medication.
What staggers me is members who have a degree who are unable to spell or put anything together in a coherent manner.
There you go its open season on my posts now!!

I have kleptomania,
But when it gets bad,
I take something for it.

Love it!Pushki wrote:Sometimes on here, someone will ask a question that I can easily answer.
If they use text speak and numbers instead of real words, I'll ignore them!!

On the topic, I also heard (from an unknown source) that honda have or are going to stop making vtec engines. The reason I heard was more to do with emissions in regards to EC5 than honda getting fined for an mot fail but the same end result, no vtec.

Re: what all this i hear
I used to be a bit anal and not reply or spell check others. My mum speaks the queens english and hits me when I use slang
But now I don't care and think
This is me that is you
The miss spelling and slang has rubbed off on me big time but where it counts I make more effort
I do try on here more Aswell
Anyway no vtec means our engines will become very rare

Tbh from what I hear the newer I-VTEC engines weren't a patch on the old testament VTEC engines we have. Fair enough they develop power more evenly across the range, but that manic surge of power as you get towards the limiter is what made VTEC something of a legend in the motoring world. Still, if it is true that VTEC will be discontinued then that is sad news, as we were saying in another thread the golden days seem to be gone
in a world full of conscientiousness and environmental concern our cars & their engines are square pegs in round holes
all a load of crap if you ask me. Best start stock piling H22's I guess lol
