my kid before buying the leon went to look at an ep3 and the guys friend was there in his dc5 which he was selling to him.
we turned up in saffy and they tried the "oh a prelude" the vtec on the ep3 was crap and the inside bland and boring, so sale over when my kid told the bloke that his 2.0ltr lude was faster
so when leaving they followed us to burger king in the dc5 and tried to show boat the power, needless to say!! we got there first by a long way

Would have to agree with that, you can't judge something you've never been in let alone driven. Everyone that's driven my lude is always surprised, 2 of my mates even bought one after going for a blastmercutio wrote:the people who underestimate ludes have never driven one

yet people do so readily and so forcefully. even in this fine community there are those who would gainsay good manners and speak as if they had first hand experience. *shrug
This is always going to be difficult imo. civics and integras are cars for children, those who have children and those who act like children. the prelude plays to a whole different audience, one that has been there and done that and doesn't need to shout as loud as these 'youth' cars do.
you cant walk into a youth center with a good suit on and expect to get rep for your attire....
6th gen Prelude please Mr Honda. RWD 2.4 turbo lude.

Way back when I first got my lude, my brother had a new ep3. Mine was a completely standard full fat uk car back then, and I can honestly say there was nothing in it in the real world. From a standing start he would pull a fraction over me, only for me to pull it back at the top of each gear (they are 6 speed remember). In the corners, nothing again and my brother is a good driver IMO, had plenty of quick cars too.
I really think a well sorted lude will put a lot of cars to shame.
