drokk!

My car was supposed to be featured in the issue released at the end of September. They said they will send me one but it never arrived. My address has a history of post going AWOL so I thought I'd try to buy a copy myself. Searched high and low in a number of places but couldn't see it. I gave up and bought a copy online on Monday last week and arranged for it to be sent to my parent's address. They debited by account £4.50 and the magazine still hasn't arrived!

drokk again.

Kiss it all goodbye.

It always amazes me that after the tax man and the bank receive their (or part) payment, that the liquidators fees always seem to match any remaining asset value. Then the long list of creditors get drokk all.

I don't even bother filling in creditor claims on firms that go bust on me, total waste of time. Sadly it is a case of write the money off and move on.

It is all wrong, creditors should be paid first, then the bank, then the taxman and finally the liquidators can have what ever is left. It is always the innocent creditor that suffers.

Unfortunately Shiny is right(from my own dealings in the past) I lost £8,000 ten years ago,it nearly took me with them. My motto is now "Only give people money you can afford to lose"
I have kleptomania,
But when it gets bad,
I take something for it.

You have a point there. I paid by Visa Debit. Hopefully that's covered too.

If the item is less than £100 or your don’t have a credit card you should pay using a Visa Debit Card as you will then be protected by the Visa Debit Chargeback Scheme. However, many banks continue to make it difficult for consumers to make a claim and many call centre staff do not know about it. It is also worth pointing that you have to make your claim within 120 days of the company going bust.
