Check out the daily deals on ebay.com (American Version)
They often have DSLR's with huge discounts, I've just bought one myself from there.
You need a USA shipping address, but if you want to get one from there let me know and i'll help you out with that and shipping it over to the UK.
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

Gorgon:
Thanks for the offer bud, but I'm looking for something new.
BigTom: Yeah, the 5200 is imminent, you can pre-order already: http://www.jessops.com/online.store/cat ... /show.html
I think that's why the prices have dropped recently, places getting rid of stock. I kind of need it now though.
Thanks for the heads up on procamerashop, explains their 'good' prices. I was looking at ordering from Amazon before I found that place. Maybe stick with Amazon.
Scott: Cheers for the ideas but I'm gonna buy in the UK + as said, I need one asap.

Very little between nikon and canon these days you cant go wrong with either, As said before go into a shop and have a play see which one feels more comfortable to you. Find out which features you will use the most and how easy they are to access on each camera. Picture quality will greatly improve with buying better lenses more so than a better body. Everyones so quick to upgrade bodys when there still using kit lenses. I own a 550d if i wanted to upgrade the body then i would go upto a 5d to make it worth while going for a 650d or something similar I would probably notice no difference apart from a few gimmicky extras. Spend another few hundred on a good lens on the other hand and you will get a vastly better picture quality.
