It's understandable - the frustration of such utter c unts getting away with it...

Some ol' duffer in an Accord tried it on my MX-5 when it was new; fortunately he was spotted by someone who kindly left a note for me. I suppose it's possible to not realise, if you are brain-dead or something.

Sorry to hear that mate :x
Had it happen to my fto when it was 4 years old. Busy Sainsburys carpark not far from entrance and came out to find a major crease down the passenger side from the back light almost to the headlight.
No note and nobody saw anything  Almost 2k in repairs

Same thing happened to my dad twice on 2 different cars. Both times the guy who hit him left a note with all his details.
The 2nd time was a few months ago and i repaired it for him for a mates rates since the guy was so honest. He was over the moon it wasnt hundreds.

There are a few good souls out there.

The problem is a lot of people see cars as 'just a car' not someone else's property or pride and joy. In their eyes a little dent or scratch doesn't stop it from getting from A to B so why worry about owning up, in their eyes they've done nothing wrong

Sucks big time. I still have one in the pickup from this jobby behaviour but unfortunately it's in the rear wing and can't just be unbolted and changed. Ok it's repairable but I have to have it repainted and then re sign written. Not cheap.
