Yeah thats what i like as well. Ive seen some of the stuff some of my mates can make and im very interested! Gonna try get into welding to start with!

Sounds like you already know that it's probably a good thing in the long term.

I know these things tend to come in clusters. If it's any help, some years ago I had my offer accepted for what was to be my first house, then in the same week:
- Lost my job out of the blue
- Lost the house because of this
- Then the girl I was chasing went back to her Ex.
- Then I crashed my motorbike, and broke my leg

I still rent, but got a better job, better bike, better girl, and the leg is perfect.

All power to you with the engineering mate. Stick in there.
