Banter goes here, and doesn't have to be Lude related

You'll also want a reactive mask, allowing you to see what your doing and keep both hands on the job.

It's not crap man, your just not doing it right if that's the case. Welds can be ground back and penatration is good, keep a wire brush near to dust it of.

It's crap, same welder and gas gives significantly better results with far less dressing work. Gasless migs aren't used by professionals for a reason.......

Yea and who has a couple of grand for a pro welder? These are hobbie migs, your stitch welding panels, point and tac. It's not as if your welding anything that needs to be pressure tested. So if the gasless welds a panel and stitch welds it the whole way and has good penetration then who are you to say its crap, typical forum bum droppings right here, gas is better of course, its not messy and I'm not talking splatter it just doesn't leave a flux coat dust on the panel. As the splatter isint that bad with the good wire.

So anyone reading this will be put off by your comment then my comments here to, and I don't care how many people jump on your bandwagon, gasless works, its handy, it works in wind/ outside, its cheaper its not bum droppings.

If your doing a continuous weld on a piece you can't see so for the beginner in that respect its abit awkward until you can control your speed etc. for panel work gasless is just as easy to use.

Just a qualified time served panel beater, though I do something else for a living these days.

In my book, messier = crappier.

No one said it wasn't, though the clean-up it's easier with gas.

Marginally, works out £10 for a bottle of gas which'll give you about 10m of stich welds, £1/metre.

Convert your gasless to gas welding and I bet you'll never go back. ;)

I did but my trigger was stuck and I didn't realise it and lost a disposable bottle of gas in a minute lol, when I done the welding courses it was all gas it was fantastic, but the machines where top of the line.

Alls I'm saying is for a £200 machine and a possible small patch work gasless will work for the DIY man, it does for me as I'm on a small budget, if I was doing a long bead on 3mm steel I'd want gas to see what I'm at and better control,

Welder is handy even some small thing breaks go outside with your gas/ gasless welder throw a tac on it and its fixed, there worth the money for a DIY man or woman,

I'm away of here to have another beer and play some forza lol. Sorry for the rants, I knew you did something with cars as your work is epic.

Gutted.

Absolutely, I can get as good a weld as the one I used to use at work. I think the hobby ones are better for thin sheet work anyway, I used to complain at work as running the machine on nearly it's lowest setting was still overkill for the lighter touches.
