Yes, it's still Gerry.
I had good recommendations to use him (From NCCMUR and other good people on here) and speaking to him gave me a lot of confidence so he did my Belts/Tensioners/Service etc. a couple of months ago rather than Honda (Similar price).
And he has done some mad conversions, hasn't he?
For anyone interested in that one...

He's still all Hondas but he's also moving all the bits from a mini rolled at Knockhill recently into another at the moment.
He doesn't do MOT's, but he does get them done at a local place. It kind of makes sense to me in a continuity kind of way, and also I know if he has a relationship with the guys at the MOT station then he can probably explain the 4WS stuff if needed!
(To be fair on the reliability, mine has a titchy mileage)
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

I have no hesitation recommending him too. He was an active contributor on HondaTech forum years ago when i had my MB6 and had not long set up his business at London Rd - he fitted my uprated brakes and Koni shocks n springs. Really interesting guy to talk to and also latterly serviced my CTR. If I were doing any big work/mods to the Prelude id definately have him do it

Cheers.
Oddly enough there was a nice black MB6 in there today. I know sod all about them though. Team Dynamics wheels, seats looked like ATR recaros but were red(?), extra gauges but I didn't see the engine. Looked good.
I don't think he'll be doing any big mods for me - I'm starting to think I might keep mine as Honda intended - but he will get the regular stuff.
Having said that, whenever I go in I can't help thinking that if I ever get the space/money....maybe another... a 4th perhaps.... forced induction... ATR brakes... Meister R.... hmmm. We can all dream.

MB6 was a bit of an oddity. Mine is in my Avatar. Based on the Rover 400 the MB6 ran a 1.8 VTEC engine putting out 169hp stock against the EK 160 1.6. Similar to the Prelude/ATR sharing internals the MB6 shared with the DC2.
Performance parts were a PITA to get and cost a small fortune to buy. As an example i upgraded the wheels from Standard sawblade 15's to 17' Superlegerras. Cost with new rubber was like 1200 and that was nearly 10 years ago. Loved the car but i moved into a new housing estate with speedhumps everywhere and id had the car slammed on the Konis. Didnt work well!
Sold it on a whim- advertised one night and the next morning a boy flew up from Southampton to pick her up! Did make up for it a few months later when i bought a CTR

Interesting stuff. I like learning this kind of thing for some reason. (Ok, the reason is I'm a man)
Now I'm not so sure it was an MB6
All's well that ends well eh? CTR's are fun. I nearly bought one when I got the RenaultSport 182. If I had, I suspect it wouldn't have progressively lunched itself like the Clio over the first 40k miles
Prelude still my favourite

Will keep an eye out for you mate. Rare to see another 5th in Glasgow and are usually the 2.0 when you do
