I don't want to get rid of my two, planning on getting back to racing this or next year so my 4G will be freshened up and my 5th gen needs a lot of love to get it back on the road. It looks like I am getting a Tesla Model 3 Performance in a few months time.

I'd like to keep up with how your electric car ownership will go and cheapness. I'm going full electric when VW bring out the ID Buzz cargo around 2021/2022. Replace my thirsty and very unreliable and expensive VW T6.

You'll no doubt hear how it goes. I'm not driving my Lude on the road at the moment so the Elgrand is my daily but its damn expensive, 16-18 mpg @ £85 a tank which is roughly 37p a mile. The Tesla will be around 4p a mile. I do have realistic expectations for range not being anywhere near factory figures.

I wont be replacing my thirsty but reliable Elgrand, It's too useful :)

Yep 4p a miles is what I worked out. You have free charging in Scotland which is a bonus. I'm assuming I'm charging at home and using 22kwh or 60ish miles a day use. 18p a kwh.
My t6 costs 22p a mile, plus spent around £3k on repairs due to unreliable plus £2k loss of earning during said unreliability. Then £150 every 10k service plus loss of earning, using brake pads every 20k and tyres every 12k.
Going electric makes sense.

Plus loud race car noise.......

Wait. Wot

I've owned mine for 23 years, but she was bought brand new by my Grandfather back in 1992! I brought it from him at the trade price he was offered by a Honda dealer since he was buying a 5th Gen which ended up in my brothers hands.

But sadly :( the time has come for me and my Lude to part, I have no more room to store her and she is no longer being used (was being used daily up until end Jan) . I'll be listing her on the site in the for sale section shortly.

Wouldn't mind supplementing the prelude with the new honda E , but its a bit pricey and I don't really do enough miles for it to be worth while economically (only 20mile daily trip).

Lude is getting on a bit and maintenence+preventative starting to cost a fair bit too.

Mind you, what with corona, might be working from home forever now lol.

Prelude ownership.

From 14th April 2010 until 11th June 2016. (6 years and 2 months)
From 42,000 miles until 70.924 miles (28,944 fantastic miles in her)
Sad times when she sold. I still do really miss her.
