^^^ I have had a few honda's over the years - most of them with either D series or B Series 1.6 engines before the prelude - and none of them have ever given me better that 30mpg. Significantly worse a lot of the time. The prelude probably uses slightly more fuel than previous models I have had but not a lot more.

I am sure the newer models are better but the older one's just seem to be crap on fuel economy.

Good reason that isn't why we drive them :D

The money that you would spend purchasing, taxing, insuring, MOT, parts, servicing and calls to beakdown services  in most other better fuel consumption cars might as well spend on vtecing all the time in a lude 8-)

If you want to get a few more MPG from your Lude make sure the brakes are freely moving. The drag off sticky calipers will sap MPG. Sticking calipers is one of the Preludes weak points.

LPG conversion!! I wouldn't be without it now.. depending on the amount of miles you do, the conversion could pay for itself in fuel savings between 3 and 6 months.
