A half decent dog works very well. My Labrador get very protective to strange sounds outside, and has scared away pikeys checking out my parents place, but they don't fit very well in preludes.

I do think the thorn bush is a good idea but some dog poo near her jump spot will make her regret doin that one.

I'm thinking about a wifi security camera atm, record 24h on the laptop and check in any time on the iPhone app ;-)

Everytime that lady comes near you just shout out. ''Release the hounds!!''

And put dog barking sounds on loud through your speakers.

My parents have a doberman. Cant have a dog just for security.
Dont have time to look after one.
Managed to get a shopping list. Gonna cost about £300.
A small price for piece of mind. :)
That camera is on the list.

Funny enough i have a barking dog doorbell

As said, stick some nails in a board and leave some barbwire on the ground where she comes over, if she says to the police you set a 'trap' just say, you didn't have time to put it away in your shed. Then say in front of the police "why were you climbing over my fence onto my property anyway?"

Just read this:
Anyone who owns, or controls, property has a legal duty of care to protect people on the property from foreseeable harm. This duty extends to people on the property without permission – including burglars and vandals. A householder could be sued for damages under the Occupier’s Liability Act 1984 if a burglar is injured whilst on their property
Wish we were more like the U.S, so we could slap trespassers about.
